Transcripts & captions
Find spoken moments and prepare captions for an edit.
Transcripts and captions
Rewind Live can generate captions for a private workspace recording through the transcription worker. Open the recording and use its transcript or caption controls when a transcript is available.
Find a moment
Use the transcript to locate a phrase and return to its place in the recording. Listen back before choosing the start and end of a clip: an accurate sentence still needs enough room to make sense on its own.
Prepare captions for an edit
In Stitch, import source captions for a recording segment, review the wording, and adjust their timing and appearance. Choose burned-in captions when the words should be part of the video, or a supported sidecar format when you need a separate caption file.
Processing status
A new transcription request joins the processing queue. Follow its status in Jobs. If it fails, review the error and retry when the cause has been resolved. A missing model or unavailable worker needs attention from the service operator before processing can continue.
Audio quality, language, and the selected transcription model affect the result. A range request produces captions for that source range and does not replace an existing full transcript.
Captions are source-timed evidence. Review them against the private recording before using a line as an edit boundary. The recording remains the source for playback and editing.
